U6-U10 Uniforms
With the Fall 06 season, we introduced a new U6-U10 uniform. A complete matching kit (jersey, shorts, socks) is available from JAX Outdoor Gear (at 4723 Lincoln Way in west Ames).
The jersey is the only required element of the uniform, but we recommend the matching socks and shorts as well.

The picture here illustrates the first mock up of the jersey in the youth small size; the final jersey has the position of the logo adjusted. Jerseys run from Youth Extra Small through Adult Medium.
In addition to the uniform, you need to get a pair of shin guards. Shin guards can be obtained at JAX, Walmart/Target/etc., or at any sporting goods store. For colder weather, a turtleneck or hoodie (or even a jacket!) under the jersey is fine, but the jersey should be worn as the top layer. Similarly, long sweatpants, hats, and gloves are fine for cold weather.
A word about hats: Hats need to be worn only for warmth, not fashion. No baseball hats or other hats with bills are allowed; wear a simple pullover type hat. The others aren't safe.

The current uniform was introduced in the Fall 05 season. The manufacturer of most of the pieces just changed, but we have been able to avoid having to switch uniforms entirely, as some clubs did because of the same circumstance. However, we have had to switch to new socks, and all returning players will need to purchase the new socks. Use the same link as you would to order a complete uniform kit, and make the appropriate choice.
If you are a new player and need a full uniform kit . Our standard uniform "kit" includes a navy jersey, a yellow jersey, navy shorts, and two pairs of socks (both navy), plus a black warmup suit. The price is $166.10 for individual orders. There is small discount for youth sizes. A size chart is given below. To order the complete kit, choose the "boys uniform kit" or "girls uniform kit" as your registration category, and then it will let you specify size and purchase optional items: a team bag and two grades of ball.
Our experience with these uniforms for the first year is that they have held up extremely well. You may choose to order a slightly generous size to extend the life of your uniform.

Size Charts: Please note that the girls' uniforms are sized a bit small. You may need to order a size up from what you would normally buy for your child. Ask friends that tried them on what size they ordered if you can. Most of the U11 boys wore YL, with a few of the larger boys getting AS. Most players wear the "medium" socks.
