Thanks and Congratulations!
Ames Soccer Club's First Annual Super 7's Indoor Soccer Tournament was a huge success with twenty teams competing in four divisions. The state-of-the-art Bergstrom Indoor Facility provided the players with the opportunity to lace up their cleats and serve up some fast-paced, high-scoring action. The U10 age group players all received participation medals as a reward for their excellent efforts during their games. Players in the U12 age group competed in round-robin play to determine 1st and 2nd place finishers with each team member receiving a trophy. In the U12 girls division 1st place went to Gilbert Tigers and 2nd place went to North West Dynamite. There was an extremely close finish in the U12 Co-Ed division as the fourth tie-breaker was needed to separate the 1st place Ankeny All-Stars and 2nd place Ballard Soccer Club. Well done, all four teams!
Congratulations and thanks to all players, coaches, referees, and tournament volunteers who helped make the tournament such a positive experience. We eagerly look forward to seeing you back in 2009.
Thanks also to ASC volunteers who helped out, as well, and to Karen Bergquist, who coordinated the volunteers.
