Save the Date for the premier recreational tournament of the spring!
Come to Ames for a weekend of great soccer at a terrific complex. This tournament is for recreational teams from U7-U14. U7-U10 teams will play without kept scores, but championships will be held for the U11-U14 teams.
The Kohl's FUN ZONE truck will again be at the tournament providing inflatable games and other entertainment.
Mail-in entry forms are now available. On-line entry (convenience fees apply) will be available soon.
Tournament Location
The tournament will be held at the Hunziker Youth Sports Complex in Ames, near the intersection of HWY 69 and 30.

Check-in Procedure
All coaches or coordinators must report to the Tournament Director's Site at least 1 hour prior to their first game for the team check-in. You do not need your players to check-in. At Check-in you will present:
- Players cards. (must be laminated with player's picture and signature. NO CARD = NO PLAY!)
- Medical releases. (These do NOT need to be notarized!)
All player cards must be presented to the field marshal and/or referee prior to each game. You will not be required to present your medical release consent forms thereafter unless requested by the Director of Referees or the Tournament Director.
Player Cards
Your league may or may not require you to use your player cards on a regular basis. If not, here are instructions for preparation of a player card. Each card must:
- be signed by the player
- have a small photograph attached in the indicated spot
- be laminated
Game Duration
Please note that game lengths may not correspond to your experience during normal league play:
- Under 7 and 8: length of play for all games is two twenty minute halves with a five minute halftime break.
- Under 9 and 10: length of play for all games is two twenty five minute halves with a five minute halftime break.
- Under 11 and 12: length of play for all games is two twenty five minute halves with a five minute halftime break.
- Under 13 and 14: length of play for all games is two thirty minute halves with a five minute halftime break.
Tournament features
No scores are kept for U7-U10 divisions. Semifinals and finals will be held (and scores kept) for U11-U14 divisions.
Fun Zone: The tournament will feature a Fun Zone with music, inflatable games, etc.
Eligibility
- ISA Recreational Teams U7-U14 (rosters received by ISA by April 15, 2010)
- Player Cards required
- Medical releases required (yours or the ISA release is ok. It does NOT need to be notarized.)
- Team rosters required
- Up to 2 guest players allowed. Guest players must also be "recreational" players not on IPSL (or similar league) rosters.

....to everyone who helped out with the Kohl's Cup and to all participants. We hope you enjoyed yourselves. The U14 Coed Championship had to be postponed until June 11 due to lightning.
