Gary Eyles, Director of Coaching and Player Development

Gary A. Eyles (515-360-5117, garykix@mchsi.com) is the Director of Coaching for the Ames Soccer Club, having joined our ranks on December 1, 2005.
Gary brings a wealth of experience to our club. He was the first and only Director of Coaching at the Urbandale Soccer Club until he came to Ames, having worked with them for over a decade. Urbandale won over 30 state championships during his tenure, and he developed and administered coaching for all levels of play within that club, from U6 on up. |

Nuno Ferreira – Assistant Director of Coaching

Born in Bucelas, Portugal, Nuno (nunofh@isunet.net) has coached with Ames Soccer Club since the Fall 2003 season. Nuno played extensively as a teenager in Portugal largely with the Clube de Futebol os Bucelences, which reached Lisbon district cup finals when he was on the U16 team. Nuno further played with Bucelences, a team in the Portuguese National 3rd division and Lisbon District 1st Division.
Nuno's responsibilities include coaching, supervision of certain programs, and organization of some of our winter and summer programs. |

Michael Norris - Club Coach
Michael Norris (mnorris@iastate.edu) is another remarkably qualified coach for our club. He holds two masters degrees from Ohio State in the areas of Physical Education Teacher Education Pedagogy and Physical Education. He is a member of the Health and Human Performance department at Iowa State. Michael played intercollegiate soccer at Central Michigan University.
