Spring '10 Teams
The Ames Soccer Club fields U11-U14 competitive teams in the spring. We encourage U15-U19 players to play high school ball. (If you are U15 but in 8th grade, please contact Gary Eyles.)
Each spring, by league regulations, we hold tryouts for team placement for the following Fall and Spring seasons. So everyone who played in the Fall is fine. If you did not try out last spring (in June '09) and did not play in Fall 09, you need to contact Gary Eyles (515-360-5117 or garykix@mchsi.com) to arrange for a special tryout.
Payment schedule
- A $50 deposit on your registration is due by Feb 1 to hold your place on the team. If you played in the Fall, you will receive a form in the mail. You may also download a blank form here. (You may also pay in full.)
- The remainder of your registration fee will be due March 20, before practice starts in late March.
- Some teams will also assess a "team fee" to cover tournament expenses (etc) in Spring.
- If you need financial assistance, please click on one of the financial aid links on the right.
Fees for the Spring 2010 season are:
- $284 for U11-U12
- $304 for U13-U14
Accepting your spot for Fall 09
Below is a list of steps to join the team for Fall 09.
- Reply to Gary Eyles verbally or by email that you will join the team within 24 hours of getting the offer.
- When notified, visit the LeagueOne site to make your deposit. The deposit is $50 plus $4.55 LeagueOne fee. You may also pay your full registration fee if you choose to.
- If you need a uniform (new player or U11 player), you will now need to visit the uniform page to place a single order. The base price of a full kit (includes shorts, two jerseys, two pairs of socks, and warmups) is $166.10. You may also order a club bag, extra socks, and so on. U11-U13 player should order by July 3 to ensure delivery before the season starts.
Please note: We are beginning to show what our on-line registration costs are so you understand why we sometimes ask our older players for payment by check when it is practcal. As a first step in that direction, all players will pay the LeagueOne.com fee on their $50 deposit. It will be added on at the end, and your total bill will be $54.55.
Financial assistance is available for families in need. Please download our form and contact Ralph Ackerman directly at 292-5203 or racker@iastate.edu. Alternative payment plans can also be worked out.
Fees for the 2009-2010 season are (per season):
- $284 for U11-U12
- $304 for U13-U14
- $335 for U15-U19
